    The PuroMAG™ Fibrous Tissue RNA Purification Kit is designed to purify total RNA from fibrous animal tissue, such as skin, skeletal muscle, lung, or heart. This purification technology is based on RNA binding to silica-coated magnetic beads, which allows for efficient removal of genomic DNA, protein, salt, and other contaminants. It greatly simplifies the extraction process by incorporating a convenient and easy-to-use extraction technology based on nucleic acid binding to silica-coated magnetic beads. This kit includes an on-column DNase I digestion step to remove any contaminating DNA. The kit can be used in manual or automated high-throughput formats. The high-throughput protocols have been optimized for Auto-Pure Nucleic Acid Purification systems, but can be adapted for other purification systems (i.e. Kingfisher Flex, Hamilton Microlab STAR, Biomek FX, etc.). Manual extraction can be performed using Luna Nanotech's 8-Position Mini Magnetic Rack (Cat# MGR-008) or 16-Position Mini Magnetic Rack (Cat# MGR-016) . This kit can also be used to perform RNA cleanup after DNase I or other enzymatic treatments. High quality RNA extracted with the PuroMAG™ Fibrous Tissue RNA Purification Kit can be used for a range of downstream applications such as reverse-transcription qPCR, Northern blotting, or microarray analysis.
